1983 Subaru GL for sale

1983 Subaru Convertible. From what I can determine they made 187 of these in 1983. Subaru imported them to a company in Ca. who did the conversion and then they were sold by Subaru dealers. The original plates for the original selling Subaru dealer and the conversion company are still on the car. I am the second owner. The car is original paint. interior. drivetrain. top. the top is a power top that works great and is in excellent condition. Power windows. steering. brakes. Runs and drives great. Registered in Ct. and is currently my daily driver. Interior is clean with no rips or tears or stains. Dashboard is unbroken or cracked. The person I bought this from had purchased a twin( convertible. same color) at some point that was rotted underneath and the fabric part of the top was gone. I parted out the twin and kept all the parts that may be needed. These include complete top frame and hydraulics. fenders. doors. hood and trunklid. engine. transmission. consoles. wiring harness. tailights. seat frames and covers. other things I can't think of. All this goes with the car. Now the three bad parts: the original owner at some point had thought about repainting the car and lightly sanded the front passenger fender and door and the rear driver side fender. Not sure why. There is a small amount of rust on the leading edge of the drivers side rear wheel arch. The gas tank was no good and I could not readily find a replacement so I purchased a aftermarket fuel cell and mounted it in the stock position and hooked it to the original fill pipe. There is no fuel gauge sender so the gauge does'nt work. I just use the trip meter to tell me when to fill it up. Used fuel tanks are available. Any further please contact me. The car does not leave my yard until I have payment guaranteed to my satisfaction. remember you need a way to transport the parts also. almost a complete second car. I will not sell parts separately.
