Very rare chance to own a collectors unmolested original 1983 mk 1 xr 2. car itself has only covered 63000 miles from new and only 3 owners has all original panels. unwelded. undamaged condition. The car was registered in 1983 at skippers ford St. Helens (as registration plates state) the previous owner brought the car in 1984 at just 9 months old and owned it until 2013. sadly he passed away in 1995 (tax disc in window) and it was left in his garage by his son for the next 17 years until he felt it was time to part with it. he had always kept the car wax oiled and polished from nearly new. body work is in great condition with no rust bubbles apearing anywhere. Interior is also in very good condition with no cracks in the dash. There is a few minor marks on the body as you would imagine from a car of this age but then don't forget this isn't a concours car that someone has pulled apart and rebuilt it's gone all these years cared for and kept in great original condition. Engine and gearbox are in perfect working order and drives as it should. mot is due this month but will come with a fresh year on ready to enjoy for the shows.
