1983 Mk 1 Golf in metallic blue - 1. 8 16 v Mk 2 engine with GTi trim - sold as a 'project' but is mot'd and ready to drive away. Cosmetic work to make it mint!

I took this as part payment towards a kit car I sold and it's not really my sort of thing but in all the years I've driven. and all the wonderful cars I have owned this has hands-down had the most attention from people everywhere it goes!!
Sold as a 'project' as I understand that this car should go to a VW enthusiast for further customisation and final touches or any VW fan as they are so unique that if I do more work to it then whoever has it will want to finish it their way so if I don't sell it as she is then a year of summer fun is gone before she will have the work done at her new home.
Details:1. 8 16 v DOHC Mk 2 engine Unique (stunning) Metallic Blue Rolled Steel Arches Deep Dish Rota Wheels GTI interior Coil over suspension Front spoilers x 2 Nice exhaust system. I'm sure there is other bits I have missed so drop me a message or give me a call.
Other bits. No idea what the mileage is says 30 k (guess 130 k) and don't know what the mileage is on the mk 2 engine either. Wheels could do with a bit of a refurb - kernel in place Selector is a bit of a bugger between 1 st and reverse Bits of touch up here and there on the paint work (I would be happy to drive as is)Little bits of overspray in the boot and rear that I would want to tidy up. Wheel bearing needs replacing on passenger side (judders sometimes). I'm sure there are other little bits as well. you're welcome to come and have a look!
All round lovely little car which you could drive as is but wouldn't require masses of work to be a stunning little show car. I'm not a dealer. we sell kit car shells (just google us) so this car is a private sale for someone to enjoy over the summer and spend a bit of love on over the winter.
I would be interested in a 'mini' if it helps someone do a deal - I want an old style one (never owned one and always fancied one) my wife wants a new style one - so if you have a mini to trade please let me know. Not really interested in anything else.
Viewings are welcome - car can have viewed at work or at home (I quite enjoy driving it).
