1960 TRIUMPH TR3A OVERDRIVE IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION.
THIS CAR STARTED LIFE AS AN EXPORT LHD TR3A.
BEING A GENUINE CALIFORNIAN CAR. IT WAS SPARED THE RAVAGES OF TIME AND RUST.
REPATRIATED IN THE EARLY 80s.
AND FULLY RESTORED AND CONVERTED TO RHD BY THE NORTHEN TR CENTRE.
FINISHED IN SIGNAL RED WITH BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR.
WORK DONE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS-
- Rack and pinion steering.
- MOTO LITA steering wheel and indicator stalk.
- 3 synchro gearbox replaced with a rebuilt 4 synchro gear box.
- Overdrive rebuilt.
- Steel flywheel with TR5/6 diaphragm clutch
- Hi Torque starter motor
- New radiator fitted with starting handle hole deleted (To improve cooling).
- Electric fan for radiator cooling (thermostat controlled).
- Narrow pulley kit with damped crank pulley.
- Alternator fitted. old control box left in situ but inoperative.
- 123 electronic distributor.
- Lucas gold coil
- New upgraded heater assembly.
- Poly bushes.
- Koni front shock absorbers.
- Cibie H4 headlights.
- Four new Continental tyres last month .
- Aeroquip rear brake flexi.
- Front discs and pads. last month.
- Rear brake shoes. and wheel cylinders. last month.
The car is regularly driven in good weather only. and always garaged in a dry airy garage.
And in recent years has ventured on to the Continent for some long distance tours. with no issues.
