MOTODROME

motodrome are pleased to offer this original UK RHD 1967 Triumph TR4A. finished in white with black hood. and black interior with white seat piping.

 

It's fitted with overdrive. enamel wire wheels. wood dash. moto-lita woodrim steering wheel. rear shock absorber conversion. SAH-type twin exhausts. kenlowe fan. and also comes with a tonneau cover.

 

Purchased by the last owner in 2010 as an unfinished body-off  rebuild. it emerged ready for the road 2 years later and has covered less than 500 miles since. and has always been garaged in his ownership. It comes with a big history file including bills back to 1997. and old MOT's.

 

Comes with MOT to June 2017 (no advisories).

 

It drives absolutely superbly. makes a fantastic noise. and looks lovely too.

 

Comes with the desirable number plate 681 BOL. which appears to be transferable. If sold outside the UK. we will be retaining the number plate.  

Further detail:

 

The body and  paintwork on this one look really good. with a nice deep finish to the paintwork. A couple of the panel gaps (especially the NS wing to bonnet line) could be a little better. The bumpers and some other chromework might benefit from rechroming as they're a bit patinated. and maybe the wheels re-enamelling. Basically it's not a concours contender. but a really sound and very useable TR that drives brilliantly.    Obviously expect minor stonechips. nbsp;etc and blemishes  but overall it's rather impressive.   All I can really criticise. apart from the above.  is: some microblistering on the bootlid and on the screen surround.   See the video below for a full appraisal of the bodywork


The hood is in good shape.  

 

Interior – nice all round. All I can really criticise is the seats have some wear in the vinyl on the outside edges where they rub on the hood frame. and the mazak stalks have lost a lot of their coating. .    See the video below for a full appraisal of the interior

 

 

Starts on the button hot or cold and it performed utterly  superbly on test.   No signs of  misfiring. hesitancy or overheating etc. with no untoward noises or dramas. just loads of grunt with a fantastic exhaust noise. Excellent gearbox. steering. and brakes. and the overdrive comes in and out smoothly.  . Nothing whatsoever to criticise - up there with the best TR's I've owned and driven . .   Watch the video below to see it in action
