Fully restored 1966 Citroen 2 CV 6 v 425 cc motor
I am placing this advert for a relation who is not computer literate. Over the past couple of years this little 2 cv has undergone a full body off restoration. The car had been dry stored for many years . but as with all 2 cv's if you want a good one its a major task to bring them back in to such condition.
The car is sitting on an original chassis that has been cleaned and rustproofed. The Floor pans. Sills. quarter panels. boot floor have all been replaced. Almost everything has been replaced with heritage parts apart from the bulkhead. door pillars and frame. and inner arches etc. It has new roof. body seals. all new brakes. new tyres. . he engine stripped and overhauled with new rings. full de-coke. valves etc. The original engine had covered 74000 kms. so it was essential to check all was good.
The car is finished in a light grey knows as “Gris Dandy” an original colour. On opening the boot you will notice it even has its original wooden wheel chock!
This is a car that has spent its entire life in France to so has avoided the UK's salt covered roads. A chance to purchase a very desirable and appreciating classic.
Reason for sale. he has three others and is now embarking on restoring a 1955 and needs the space!
