Here at Andy Tiernan Classics. in Framlingham. Suffolk. space is at a premium! So we have decided to open the doors & unleash our Parker 500 midget racing car! Reminiscent of Cooper racing cars. this machine is powered by a JAP 500 cc speedway engine. In their day these high performance beasts won many accolades including the prestigious M. C. R. C. championships for three consecutive years in 1955/6/7. An idea of specifications can be gleaned from looking at photograph number 9. These cars were regular competitors at all the major speedway venues across the country. As the advertising blurb of the period stated 'The Parker is an entirely new kind of racing car. Its marked superiority in looks. construction and performance set the standard in Midget Racing. The low centre of gravity. the scientifically balanced distribution of weight and low driving position gives you confidence and complete control in all situations. It handles so easily that you need very little experience to drive it SAFELY and QUICKLY.
