Mercedes Benz 380 SL 1980 Convertible Automatic With Hardtop AND Softtop in VIC

Sale price: $8,500.00 make an offer

Car location: Lower Plenty, VIC, Australia

Seller's notes: I haven’t had it tested so I don’t know what it would need for a RWC. I had some rust in the floor repaired for the roadworthy 6 years ago. It may need more. Body and paint looks great though. You can afford to spend a couple of grand on the RWC and still be miles ahead. If you live in SA where you don't need a RWC then you're laughing! Cosmetically it's good except the front seats have some tears. That’s why it has sheep skin seat covers fitted.Power steering fluid needed topping up when last serviced, so may have a slight leak there.Aircond is all there but not tested. Will try to test this weekend

Buy this car for about 1/3 of the value estimate! Looks and drives great. There's nothing wrong with it except I'm selling without a RWC as I don't have the time to organise it. It was last tested when I registered it 5 years ago I have upgraded (maybe that's downgraded?) to a new Audi. so this car has to go. I drove it to work from Brunswick to South Yarra for four years but lately my dad just drives it to tennis to compensate for not having as big a serve as the other guys. The Carsales estimate for this car. which includes the detachable hardtop. is $24. 00! You can buy mine for only $9. 00 because it will probably need some work for a roadworthy and I don't have the time to muck around. Dad wants it gone from the garage and rego is due next month so I want to sell it before then. The car has a new soft top and a detachable hardtop. It is registered until August 2015. that's full reg not club reg. It has new carpets and starts first time. every time. It is really quick. The engine runs well and idles well in traffic. It doesn't overheat. All the stuff like lights. electric windows. wipers. washers. horn etc works fine. I haven't had it tested so I don't know what it would need for a RWC. That's why it has sheep skin seat covers fitted. Some of these early cars didn't have the VIN stamped in the chassis. so Vic roads issued a new VIN when I registered it. All the original ID plates are present and the engine number and chassis number match. This is a terrible time of year to sell a soft top so grab yourself a bargain. Dog shown is for illustration purposes only and is not included. well. we can talk.
You are bidding to buy. not to inspect. so don't bid or click buy it now unless you intend to complete the sale. Best time to inspect in the weekend or Wednesday
