This really is a lovely Series One Rover 2000.

The car looks great. rives superbly. as a long MOT. s extremely solid and has loads of history.

Sold in July 1970 to its first owner. t passed in May 1972 at 13365 miles (the sales invoice is present in the history) to its second owner who kept a handwritten record of the mileage and everything done to the car up until 1988 when the mileage was 65635. The history file contains some 25 MOTs from 1987 until the current one which expires in April 2016 as well as some original Rover documentation. n owners instruction manual. echnical details booklet. everal old tax discs and many invoices.

I don't think that the car has ever undergone a full restoration. ather that it has been maintained and reinstated by its five owners as and when necessary. There is a CD containing detailed photos of structural work which was undertaken in 2008/9. The paintwork isn't perfect but presents really well. s can be seen in the photos. he car appears to be in excellent mechanical condition. nd whilst the interior shows some signs of
wear it is remarkably original. etaining the correct front seat harnesses (rear seat belts have been added at a later date). ead restraints. arpets and undamaged headlining.

If you can find a nice one these P6 Rovers really are a lovely classic to own. Absolutely revolutionary in their time. heir iconic appearance is still striking today. hey drive in a remarkably civilised manner and you can (should you wish) take the family out in reasonable comfort.

The real charm of this car lies in its originality. ts comprehensive history. ts appearance and not least in the way it drives. If you're looking for a really practical classic to enjoy. rive with confidence and be proud of straight away. hen this may be the one for you.
