1982 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible Nice

These Le Barons have been a sleeper in the collector car inventory for some time. but they are becoming quite a collector car in the States now. with good examples in the low to mid teens.

This is a nice  Chrysler Le Baron convertible - top of the line model for 1982. Fitted with Mark Cross leather upholstery. Normally the first to deteriorate  in a convertible are the leather seats . these are almost in showroom condition. showing no ageing at all. dash top has no cracks and door trims look almost new.
Engine is 2. 6 litres and runs smoothly.
Speedo reading is unknown. shows 1332 but has not rolled over. so I presume speedo has been replaced 

Car was a one owner for 30 years. still has original paint. shines nicely with some minor chips. has very small dent in rear guard. Looks like something may have moved in boot. only noticeably at the right angle. Bonnet also has a dent. looks like something was left on the air cleaner and was closed whilst still on air cleaner.

Car has just had a major mechanical service.

Air conditioner serviced.

This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. nice and tight. and very easy to drive - in fact it is a fun car to drive. Handles well and performs nice and briskly.
No oil leaks from engine. gearbox or diff.
All panels are nice and straight and no rust at all. being a Californian car rust is not a problem.

Boot opens from inside glove box.

Sunglasses compartment
Foot brake operated safety brake ( Handbrake)
I have all documentation for full rego or for club registration.


The bonnet could do with a minor repair and knob is missing from passengers remote for electric mirror  and has a star chip on passengers side front windscreen. easily repaired.

This car is not perfect. but a nice sound 31 year old car.

Excellent club car if you are looking for a later model that is different from the usual Fords. Holdens and Chevs. This is a very interesting car for that special week end treat.
As the saying goes . when the top goes down. the price goes up. but this is a reasonably priced convertible.
