This Volvo P 1800 s was built in Gothenburg Sweden in 1968. It was built for the U. S market and was shipped there after manufacture.
Being the 1968 model it was fitted with the 1800 cc 115 bhp engine with a top speed of 109 mph.
It is believed that the U. S. spec engines had slightly raised b. h. p. We purchased the car directly from the last owner Mr Bean form Utah. (not the famous one). He had spent several years restoring this Volvo. He has restored several P 1800's over his lifetime.
He rebuilt the engine and manual gearbox including the overdrive. New brakes. shock absorbers. exhaust and stainless steel bumpers have also been added. The body has had a bare metal re-spray. Hopefully the quality of the restoration can be seen in the photos and video.
The drive is very tight and the performance is spritely from this iconic 60`s car.
As with all classic cars the underside is extremely important. this is very solid throughout and has been rustproofed.
The seats have been re-trimmed and new carpets fitted. It has the original radio fascia. but the inside workings are modern with an i Pod connection.
Sound proofing has also been fitted to the engine bay and boot encouraging a very quite driving experience.
It also has the added benefit of air- conditioning! Ideal for continental touring.
Mr Bean believed the mileage of 82. 10 to be genuine.
It may not be the same colour as Mr Simon Templars. but it has a saintly appearance!
All taxes are paid and ready to register in any country.
We believe this to be one of the best available today in this price bracket.
