-Original Fender Tag. Galen Govier Decoded and in the Chrysler Registry

This 1968 Plymouth GTX was purchased in the 1980s from Alabama and previous owner parked it until 1997.   In 1997 the car was placed on a rotisserie and the restoration was started.   The car was completely disassembled and sandblasted. The owner worked on the car on and off for many years before passing away recently.   Nearly everything on the car is new or rebuilt and I have all receipts supporting this.   The trim was removed and polished and the bumpers were rechromed.   Also. all mechanical parts are NEW. restored. or rebuilt including front end. Magnum wheels. redline tires. disc brake system. gas tank. exhaust. rear end. nbsp;radiator. engine and transmission.

The engine and transmission was replaced by warranty in 1970 by the dealership. I have confirmed the absence of VIN numbers on the engine block confirming it to be a warranty block.   The engine and transmission was professionally rebuilt in 2010. The rebuild was aggressive and the car runs cool and strong.   The Dyno sheets showed the engine made 517HP. The engine has under 10 miles on it.

The interior was completely redone.   The entire dash was restored and looks new.   The headliner still needs installed.   I have the NEW headliner and sail panels.

The car still needs some finishing touches but I have all the parts.   The car has NO rust and the body is straight.   The paint is driver quality and shows some blemishes from storage. The new owner should expect to resolve some minor issues with this car as it has not been driven much.

This is one of those cars that you just couldn't duplicate for the asking price.   And just try to find a similar restored 4-Speed and Dana GTX anywhere at NO RESERVE! Set up to run. almost sorted. and 100% complete. this is a lot of fun in an inexpensive package. Call  260-580-0213
