BMW 3.0 CSI

Hi. sincere appologies to all previously interested bidders and watchers for the sudden removal of the car from its previous listing. I'm affraid I had no choice but to dump the listing. as I was unexpectedly summoned abroad on a business matter. God forbid I should leave this in the hands of my wife. she does'nt do cars. if you know what I mean! Anyway I'm back. and so is the car. so here goes!! I am reluctantly selling my  "much wanted to do" dream car due to family commitments. enuff said.   It is probably one of the easiest restorations of its kind and unarguably one of the most desirable and rarest BMWs in the best original colour  BMW white. probably Alpine.   Never been resprayed. would be stunning with one! Complete with original vinyl roof of which the fabric is in excellent condition. Retro (dry) sunroof and chrome wheel arches.   Very very honest straight and unmolested car.   If you know these cars you will not need me to tell you how rare an opportunity this is to own on a budget fix. and what its potential alue could reach! it could actually be on the road  in a couple of weeks. Try finding another one with this starting price. However here are the details.   Starts no problem and sounds "gorgeous".   Needs new water pump (readily available and inexpensive) before starting it again for any time. also replace part pf rubber fuel line as it has a split (easy fix) as I pumped about a gallon of petrol into the plants and driveway. pleasing the family. so fuel pump works brilliantly.   Will be supplied with brand new battery.   Will not need any welding as it has been done (usual strut areas).   Rest of it is solid.   Full set of keys. all locks work and doors close like new without any hinge drop.   I have an original BMW rearside door mirror to match other (brand new) in box bought from USA and a BMW badge for boot to go with it.   All the chrome inside and out is in very good condition. and I have the chrome gutter surround for the drivers side. which you may have noticed is not fitted. also the drivers interior door handle assembly.   New brake callipers. pads and brake pipes all round (still shiny). although will need bled.   Exhaust is solid front to back. original wheels. even tyres are good.   Upholstery has all been professionally restored witha sumptuous wine colour velour which adheres to every original groove. line and contour. which is unworn and basically clean. which in itself must have cost a fortune.     The rear parcel shelf. in case you wondered is sun-faded red carpet.   The rest of the car has red carpet. which would benefit from replacing.   I have details of a company which provides full kit including boot from £215. 00. Varnish on wood fron shelf trim has lifted but wood is great.   Sorry only photographed one side as no mates around at the moment to help move car out a bit. however other side is just the same as the drivers side. with no damage. maybe a little moss as its next to conifers.   Please bear in mind that the car is nearly 40 but essentially has worn very well for that with minimal non-serious rust spots having benefitted from being galvanised on manufacture.   As it is listed for restoration it has no current tax or MOT and would need to be transported to its new home.   You may bid with confidence as I have been honest with its description which is all to the best of my knowledge and reflective of my Ebay status.   Good luck and happy bidding.

Hi. feel it may be nessessary to provide a block answer to popular questions. and to alleviate any fears potential bidders may have. Here goes. Engine bay. forward bulkhead(galvanising still present) inner and outer wheel arches. sills. door tops and bottoms. boot space and troughs. are all still exceptionally solid! This is not a rust bucket by any means. unlike some you may have seen. and there is no cataloy on her. with the exception of a repair to the boot lid lip. it just needs the right owner to brighten up her life again. may I also appologise to anyone whose questions I may not have answered due to the phenominal response. I wont say just how many watchers there are at this time suffice to say a lot. so maybe not sit on the fence too long. if you want it. go for it as I intend to let it run the auction. despite some utterly amazing offers. to be fair to the bidders and watchers. in the true spirit of ebay.
