***1971 FIREBIRD FORMULA 350 400 ENGINE TURBO 350 3:55 POSI LUCERNE BLUE RESTORED***
***1 OF 7802 BUILT***
This is a 1971 Pontiac Firebird 350 that the owner purchased in 1998. The car has been completely restored. The body and paint were professionally done by a body and paint man with an excellent reputation. Body is straight with glossy paint. The body panels and the fiberglass hood are original except the trunk lid and quarters were replaced. The interior was originally blue and was redone and changed to black. It features bucket seats. new Auto Meter gauges and a B&M Megashifter. The suspension. steering and brakes have all been redone. Floors and trunk pans are original and solid. The bright blue body is accented with factory looking mag wheels which are 15-inch and mount Goodyear Eagle tires. Windshield is new as is all the weather stripping. The original engine was locked up when the car was purchased so the owner sent a 400 V-8 from a 1972 Grand Prix to the machine shop for a rebuild. The engine has a mild hydraulic cam and kit along with Edelbrock dress up items and a Holley carburetor on top of an Edelbrock manifold. The engine sounds very powerful through the custom exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350 with new torque converter. It was rebuilt using B&M parts. The rear was rebuilt with 3:55 Richmond gears and an Auburn posi unit. The car has 892 miles since completion. It has been stored inside since it was restored. The owner's wife is pregnant and the car needs to go to a new home. The owner asked me to list it.
