Pontiac : Trans Am

 What I have for sale is my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.   The car has the rare numbers matching 400. 4spd. with 4 wheel disc brakes.   The restoration of this vehicle was completed in 2008.   The engine was rebuilt in 2013 with approximately 2000 miles on the rebuilt.   The paint is in excellent to very good condition with minor scratches.   The decals are in excellent condition.  

Like I said the engine was rebuilt in 2013.   It has a edelbrock intake with a Holley street avenger carb.   The shaker base aircleaner was customized to fit the carb since the original was a quadrajet.   Has hooker headers with the porcelain coating with flowmaster  mufflers and new replacement chrome tips for originality.   The 4 spd shifts nicely and the clutch was replaced with the restoration.   Engine runs very cool and mantains excellent oil pressure even when warm.   The air conditioning components were removed when the engine was rebuilt and I did not re-install them since it has T-tops.   I do have all the original air conditioning and interior heating components.   The headers were customized to accommodate the manual transmission so the back up lights operate with a toggle switch on the console.   Had the 4 wheel disc brakes. nbsp;with new brake pads and master cylinder.

The interior is very nice.   Originally had the hobnail cloth. nbsp;now has black vinyl seat covers.   New carpet.   The door panels. headliner. console. and dash (crack free) are original.   Has and updated stereo. (original included).   The dash bezel was redone and has a very nice original gold color.   The car does have power locks but they do not work.   The power windows operate on  a power window relay and go up and down faster than new.   The T-tops do not leak but the seal around the windows need to be adjusted.   All interior lights work minus the passenger light.   Does have the power trunk but needs to be reconnected.   The dash clock still works and keeps time.  

The paint is stunning.   Has a mirror like finish.   Does have a knick here and there but is very minor and not noticeable.   The Decals are excellent and have all the Special Edition pinstriping.   No rust.   Body is very solid.   Original floor panels.   Front Clip does have some cracking but is minor and not noticeable unless close.   The T-tops fit nice and have the original fisher covers.    The tires are in very condition with plenty of tread.   The snowflake wheels were polished. repainted. and look like chrome.   The car also has 2 inch drop spindles which give it a very aggressive stance.   The original spindles are included  Original Gas tank. does have a dent that was there before I purchased it in 2002.   The does have factory undercoating.
