1965 Mercedes Benz 600 (W 100) SWB LIMO
Highlights:-Factory 040 G Black Car--2 Owner Car. Last Owner Has Owned It Since 1974--In Storage For 20 Plus Years--Ordered New With Factory Luggage Set (see data card below)--39. 00 Miles (I suspect this is correct and that the odometer has not rolled over)--Freshly restored Fuel System including: new fuel pump. rebuilt Mechanical Fuel Injection Pump. Gas Tank and Lines--New Air Bellows. Ignition Switch. Radiator Hoses. Belts. Fluids Flushed. Shift Linkage Replaced--Sunroof !--Hydraulics all work nicely (although some levers are showing signs of wear)--Complete Hydraulic Kit. spare tire and jack all present in trunk--Runs and drives nicely . but will need suspension rubber/wear parts replaced- -Original Radio and Antenna work--KB 4-050 Transmission shifts through all the gears crisply/firmly as a 600 transmission should--No rust underneath the car (see pictures below)-
Items that will need attention:-Paint (as it was not a quality respray when it was done in the 80's)--During paint the dings and dents will need to be addressed--Some areas of chrome including one rocker piece that has been dented--Suspension bushings and balljoints--Exhaust system (a bit too loud for my taste)-small chip/crack in the rear glass--Leather seats up front have splitting and cracking from leather being dry (rear seat is mint)--Air suspension holds perfectly and will not leak in "High" position. but will leak down slowly in "Normal" ride height--Assume hydraulics will need some new levers as this early car has the pot metal style levers--Wooden Console between seats is missing-
