For sale: 1967 Fiat Dino Coupe. Fitted with the later Dino 2. 4L. V6 engine.  Stock triple weber 40 four-barrel.  ZF dogleg 5 speed manual transmission.   Very Good condition. Odometer reads 14061 (Kilometers).   Actual mileage unknown.  Runs very well.   Very clean California car.   I've owned the car about 10 years.   Previous owner bought the car from Fantasy Junction in Emeryville. CA.   The car was shown at Concorso Italiano before I owned it. If you are looking at this. I assume you know the relationship with  Ferrari during the time these cars were manufactured. Designed by Bertone. Engine by Ferrari.
The engine is the more desirable 2. 4 Dino Ferrari iron block engine. and not the 2. 0L aluminum block.  It is not the original engine. but rather a 2. 4L from the later Dino models (installed by some previous owner).  There was some minor fabrication to the transmission tunnel to allow for the ZF shifter.
This car has been well maintained and cared for and is in great condition. It runs and looks great. but still has the type of wear and tear typical of a car almost 50 years old.   It's not in excellent condition. though it is the nicest Dino coupe I have seen. and can be made show condition with modest effort.   The car starts up quickly.  Does not smoke. or burn oil. at least nothing noticeable. This car has virtually no rust. It has no structural rust.   It has two minor areas of surface rust.  A minor dime size spot beginning to bubble over the passenger rear tail lamp. nbsp;and a few pin sized bubbles near the trim behind the RF wheel. Please see enclosed photos though the spots are so small it is hard to capture. There is no rust present in the normal trouble zones: Pillars. sills. fenders. trunk. running boards. tire well. look clear.  There are no holes in the fenders.  I invite you to inspect.
Car appears to have been well maintained over the years: Some maintenance records going back to 1995.   Repairs include: Rebuilt clutch and master cylinder; new/rebuilt exhaust system (Stebro); replaced slave cylinder (1999);   Cylinder head/valve job. cam chains and guides replaced at 5443 (2000);  Carbs tuned.    I recently had distributor rebuilt and drive shaft rebalanced.   The transmission case was also replaced as it had cracked. Regular tune ups.
The car can be idiosyncratic at times. but runs. sounds and handles really well. The driving experience is simply thrilling.
The flaws: The original Dino steering wheel disintegrated and has been replaced by a wooden Nardi.   Horn is not connected. One of the headlight beams is out.   The passenger side power window works. but is slow. The driver side works fine. It has aftermarket seatbelts installed by previous owner. The interior carpet and trunk carpet are tired. There are a few minor cracks in the dash. The interior is generally in good condition. but not great.   There is one small tear (1. 5") in the driver seat.   The headliner is in good condition with no tears. though some of the seams are coming loose.  It has a few minor dings that are not noticeable.   It has a thin scratch in the front hood about three inches long (see photo).   The windshield wipers work some of the time. The water temp. . tachometer. speedometer. oil pressure. nbsp;and fuel gauge all work. The clock does not work. I believe the oil temperature gauge works. but it takes time to warm up. The fuel gauge is generally accurate. but is not exact. though the sending unit is new. There are no major problems with this car.   There are occasional little ones! Some fortunate bidder is going to get a beautiful Bertone coupe with a Ferrari engine. The value on these cars continues to rise.
I do have the original steering wheel. or what is left of it. They are in high demand and are valuable. It needs to be restored. but it will be included in sale if buyer wants it.   There is a spare tire and it is the original 5th Cromodora.
I reserve the right to end sale early.   You are free to inspect car and I encourage you to do so. Again. I remind you. this car is almost 50 years old. It is not for the timid!  The car is located outside of San Francisco in the Peninsula area.   Purchase is “As Is. ”  Nothing is warranted.   Down payment is due at end of auction through pay pal.   Balance can be paid by check or money order. but car and title will not be released until funds have cleared.   Buyers paying by pay pal agree to pay all pay pal fees. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping.    I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
