Morris Mini Cooper 997 NOT S Original Unrestored Timewarp in Ferny Hills, QLD

January 1963 997cc Mini Cooper original unrestored 51year old Matching numbers car in original unmolested condition. Fully operational and correct in every datail. Recently fully registered now on club  registration not transferable. Sell unregistered. I believe I am the third owner and have owned it for 14 years. Previous owner had it for a similar period towing it behind a camper van on a trailer as a support vehicle when on holidays. Always garaged had a repaint in an earlier life in the original colour. Now shows the chips and scratches of an enjoyed and cared for existence. Body in beautiful condition only corrosion is evident in photos. Boot floor and battery box sound protected by red oxide paint done before my ownership. LOOK at the original paint floor its like that all over. All stainless trims intact and in near perfect condition including wheel arches and hubcaps. Hood lining is original two piece in original fabric no tears or stains. Has very early Smiths heater that works and rare under bonnet fan unit. Carpets are original but worn bonnet still has under bonnet sound mat. Moto Lita steering wheel is aftermarket as used on the Montecarlo Minis. MOTOR Engine reconditioned 12 years ago machining done by Chilton Engineering (Have receipts and photos) and has done 5500 miles since. Bored 20 thou new BMC (MOWOG) pistons rings and gudgeons installed. Camshaft is original and correct for 997 Cooper. Crankshaft was unworn so linished and new standard bearings fitted. 12G295 cylinder head converted to unleaded and combustion chambers CC. . New timing chain. oil pump. water pump and rocker shaft. New clutch and throwout bearing. Motor balanced. GEARBOX Original non synchro first gear box with A cut gears all in beautiful condition. All bearings replaced. new synchros and layshaft. BRAKES are correct cooper 7 inch discs. UNDERBONNET has original soundpad. I installed later air filter but car comes with the original Cooper Pancake mesh filters which I found restricted airflow and allowed grit into carbies. Battery is one year old. tyres all have very good tread. I recommend inspection and am willing to pick up and return to airport anyone who would like to fly up for day from southern states. Those who have seen this car can't get over its originality and time warp condition. Comes with owners manual. sales brochure and copy of the right early workshop manual.
