Up For Auction is a well cared for 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans am with the ws 6 performance suspension package.
It has the 5. 0 L/305 ci v 8 engine. it is tune port fuel injection.
The transmission is a 700 r 4 automatic 4 speed overdrive.
Brakes are 4 wheel disc brakes.
The car is equipped with t-tops that do not leak.
It has power windows. power locks. power rear hatch release.
There has been lots of recent work done to the car to make it a reliable daily driver.
I have replaced the fuel tank. fuel pump and sending unit and fuel filter.
A brand new set of bfg g-force tires.
Full set of premium brake pads and rotors and calipers in all 4 corners and the e-brake cables were replaced.
The front wheel bearings have been serviced and the rear wheel bearings were replaced and the rear diff fluid changed.
A full ignition tune up including plugs. wires and distributor cap and rotor has been done.
The transmission has been replaced about 5000 kms ago with a remanufactured unit.
The paint was re-done by the previous owner about 5 years ago. it has a nice 10 ft finish but when you look at it really close you can tell it was not a high quality paint job.
The Exhaust has been redone from halfway back with a flowmaster muffler installed.
Car history: The previous owner used the car as a summer car and drove from chilliwack to kamloops(roughly 3 hour drive. 250 kms each way) on most weekends throughout the summer since the early 90's.
Thus the higher kms but they are for the most part higway kilometers.
The problems: The drivers side seat bottom cover has a tear in it. but the rest of the interior is in excellent shape.
A new full seat upolstry kit for all 4 seats is avaliable on a site called "hawksthirdgenparts" for $395.
There is a exhaust leak from the right side exhaust manifold.
The car runs very well and has only minor oil sweats on the engine oil pan. it does not drip.
It is currently my daily driver and has a current air care pass(emissions test).
To my knowledge there are no saftey related items or reliability related items that are wrong with the car as i am quite picky with my vehicles.
I would not hesitate to hop in this car and drive across the country tommorow if i so choose to.
