This auction is for a 1969 Kaiser Jeepster Jeep Commando 4WD with a Dauntless 225 V6 engine and automatic transmission. The Jeepster runs and drives and is in very good condition. The 4 WD and transfer case work great. Earlier this month it was professionally sanded down to the bare metal ( as the photos document ) then two coats of primer and two coats of Jeepster red enamel paint and two coats of Jeepster white enamel paint were applied matching the original Jeepster Commando paint code(s) 226 (red) and 297 (white). The interior is in very good condition with no tears. marks or blemishes on the front or rear seats. The passenger side seat and driver side back seat are completely original - while the rear seat and driver side bottom seat have recently been professionally reupholstered. The plow and all of the plow hydraulics. lights. etc work well. The plow has its own separate hydraulic system - but no plow blade is included. The hard top is in very good condition - and the soft bikini top has never been used. The hard top is easily removed. The Jeep is equipped with and extra heavy duty padded roll bar and heavy duty tow hitch. The frame of the Jeep is in excellent condition with no cracks. repairs or significant rust of any kind. All of the glass on the Jeep is very clear with no clouds or milk color of any kind. It has no fluid leaks at all - and no major mechanic issues - although there are a few very minor items that I will detail within this description. The front and rear floors are in excellent condition - and the tires are OK. The carpet is also OK - but I've seen better. I paid $ 3. 00 cash for this Jeepster in 2011 ( and have attached the original Bill of Sale as proof ). I have invested more than $ 1. 00 in this Jeepster in improvements. I purchased this Jeepster because it was advertised as being basically being a " Barrett Jackson " quality Jeepster - which is far from accurate. I am the third owner of this Jeepster. I may switch the existing tires and rims on this Jeepster to Wagon Wheel white rims and heavy duty all terrain tires - so please keep that in mind as you bid. I am selling this Jeepster because it is one of five Jeeps that I own - and my son is leaving for college in 30 days ( tuition ). You should bid with confidence - as I have 100 % percent positive feedback and an excellent reputation for Jeepsters on eBay. There are a few items you will need to address after your purchase of this Jeep which include ( this is everything that needs attention - not a partial list ) :The driver side door sags 3/4 inch and the passenger side door sags 1/2 inch - which will need to be adjustedThe hard top rear hatch catches 1/4 inch on the lower passenger side corner - and will need to be adjusted The tires are OK - but you should plan on buying a new set The radio works fine - but the radio speaker needs to be replacedThe under dash mounted 23 channel Midland CB radio does not work - and will need to be repaired or replacedThe dash mounted wiper switch. fan control switch and windshield washer switches will need to be repaired or replaced The windshield washer fluid reservoir bag is missing - and will need to be replaced The exhaust manifold gasket will need to be replaced - most auto parts stores sell a kit to do this for about $ 24 The driver side and passenger side carpet scuff plates are missing - and will need to be replacedThe Jeepster failed PA State inspection last week because of a faulty neutral safety switch - which I have purchased - and I am in the process of having it professionally installed. This is the only reason it failed inspection.
I am going to try and have a brand new PA State Mechanical Inspection Sticker on the Jeepster within the week - but will not make any guarantees - so please assume a new PA Inspection Sticker as a bonus - not a guarantee.
Thank you and Good Luck !!!

On Jul-17-14 at 18:42:14 PDT. seller added the following information:

I've received several great questions regarding the appraisal. paint job and reserve price of the Kaiser Jeep Commando. It was appraised ( desk appraisal ) by J C Taylor for $ 10. 00 and insured for the same amount. The paint job is equivalent to what you would receive from MAACO or any other national auto paint retailer for any basic paint service package costing approx. $ 800.  The Jeepster would need to be very lightly sanded with 1. 00+ grit wet sand paper and buffed if you really want a super high gloss shine. I have a lower than normal reserve price for a Commando of this year and quality - because I did not spend $ 8. 00+ for a paint job. There are several Jeepster Commandos currently for sale on eBay ranging from $ 12. 00 to $ 21. 00 - with magnificent paint jobs. If you have unlimited funds or are independently wealthy there are some great Jeepster Commandos available at the moment. If you don't own a yacht and your last name isn't Rockefeller and you're looking for a solid Jeepster with very little rust and two tops that you can drive for a long time - the could be the Jeepster Commando for you ; )
