Up for auction is my 1970 Dodge Charger 500. I have had this car for the past 12 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am hoping to find someone that has an interest in getting her back to her original condition and enjoying her as much as I have. The Charger has a big block 383 engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. It has the correct pistol Grip Hurst shifter. I replaced the exhaust manifolds in 2004 with TTI headers. The transmission was rebuilt in 2002.  With that said. when decelerating in second gear. the shifter will pop out of gear at the very end of deceleration. This hasn't been a problem for me all the years I have owned it. seeing as I just pop it into neutral before that happens. The clutch was replaced within the last year. and the radiator was recored. The Charger runs and drives well for a 44 year-old car. All gauges work. save for the tachometer (does have Tic Tac Toc) which stopped working about a year ago. Also. the clock has never worked. The fuel gauge shows full at about 1/2 tank- 3/4 tank. All lights work. Headlight motors work perfectly. I believe the socket and or bulb of the driver's side rear quarter panel light needs to be fixed. There are rust/rot issues. most notably is the rot/rust appearing on the back of the car on the passenger's side. There is also rust developing around the back window and along the bottom on both sides. The trunk has some rust. as well. There is rust bubbling up along the sail panels and there is some touch-up paint here and there. I believe it has 3:55 gears in the back. eBay requires me to fill in the odometer numbers; the Charger reads 26. 35. but I am sure it has rolled over once. if not twice. There is no build sheet or fender tag. This car is a great daily driver; I drive it every few days except for the winter. It runs well and I always get thumbs up wherever I go. I am not selling this because I desperately need money. The fact is. I am sure there is someone out there who wants a Charger and has the desire to restore her to her former glory. While I have had fun with the Charger for the past 12 years. I feel it is now time to pass it on. This is a California car with blue. California plates. If you should have any questions. please email me. and I will try to respond the same day. This is for local pick-up only. If you need this shipped. you need to arrange that yourself. though I am willing to meet the transportation company to help load the Charger. This car WILL NOT be shipped overseas.
I require a $500. 00 non-refundable initial deposit within 24 hours of end of auction to my PayPal account.   The remaining balance is to be paid in full by wire transfer within seven days of auction's closing.  If you pick it up. we could always jointly visit the bank to make the transfer of money. The Charger has a clear title and is registered for 2015.   The car and title will be released once payment has cleared the bank.   Car is sold as-is with no warranty and shipping is responsibility of buyer. If deposit is not made within 24 hours. I have the right to keep the deposit and relist the car. I am not interested in any trades or otherwise. I do not desperately need money. thus do not need to sell the Charger; if it does not sell I will put it in storage until the time comes that I want to restore it.
