1968 SKODA 1000 MBA very quirky classic. extremley rare. so rare that I dont think you would ever see another one at a classic car rally / show. Just completed after a very thorough and comprehensive 7 year nut and bolt restoration with superb attention to detail. Fitted with a later 1200 cc Skoda engine with twin choke webbers and a 5 speed gearbox she runs like a dream and keeps up superbly with modern day traffic but with a lovely classic feel. The only fault that I can find with the car is the fuel gauge does not work but when you get down to your last gallon there is a low fuel orange warning light that comes on so the fuel gauge not working is not really a drama !
This car is virtually perfect / very solid and rust free. lovely strong chassis. fresh interior and a superb engine. Very rare and collectable.
This car was in the ownership of one of the writers of practical classic magazine. it was his own personal restoration which run into thousands of pounds to get it to its current show winning standard.
