A very early UK Triumph TR 6 PI with CP 25926 chassis number

EQUIPMENT
Steel panelled body. separate chassis frame. forward hinged bonnet and doors. chrome bumpers. chrome headlamp surrounds. polycarbonate radiator grille with chrome top and bottom bars. safety glass. expanded PVC. thick pile carpet. door pockets. Triumph rubber heel mat. dark teak veneer dashboard and door cappings set. full minor instruments with upward pointing needles. heater/demister. padded sun visors. glove locker with interior lamp. two interior illumination lamps. tonneau covers. Accessories: Wooden steering wheel. Mk 1 MX-5 seats. chrome door mirrors.

EXTERIOR
The clean-cut aggressive lines so unmistakably recognisable are accentuated in the original White (Code 19).

A clean overall appearance will please onlookers and all the chrome. trim glass and lights are in good condition but not immaculate.

Minor markings and touch-ups can be seen allowing this vehicle to be driven and enjoyed.

A quality new hood has been fitted in June 2014.

Under bonnet presentation is excellent with the identification plate still attached revealing the very early build date of this car.

A fabulous entry in TR 6 ownership.

INTERIOR
Largely original with the thick pile black carpeting and door cards in remarkable condition.

The dark teak veneer dashboard has some minor damage to the passenger side and all the controls. gauges and stalks function correctly.

Replacement Mk 1 MX-5 seats have been installed for comfort and enhanced driver support but the originals are supplied should the new owner want them.

The boot area is clean and as with the rest of the interior. dry and unworn.

A discreet Kenlow coolant fan switch has also been fitted and a beautiful period wooden steering completes the interior package.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A Triumph of technical excellence best describes this smooth 6-cylinder marvel.

First time TR 6 owners will gain assurance that a Kenlow coolant fan been fitted.

For improved reliability and lower servicing costs a ‘spin-on' oil filter has been fitted and brand new S. U. carburettors.

The original fuel injection system is supplied with the car and was removed in working order. To complete the package a ‘must have' twin sports exhaust has been fitted emitting spine tingling burble.

The 4-speed transmission works correctly.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Immaculate steel disc type wheels with bright finish polycarbonate hub trims and chromium plated dome nuts are shod in new 185/65 R 15 tyres.

The brakes are hydraulic divided with a direct acting servo giving positive stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 2 nd May 1969. with this vehicle being the important CP series. CP designating petrol injection for the UK market.

This example is CP 25926 and was produced just three months into TR 6 production with chassis number CP 25001 being the first.

Changes have been made which can be reverted should the new owner place a high priority in this aspect of the cars provenance with parts included in the purchase price.

A collection of invoices and recent expenditure by the current Triumph Sports Six Club Member will help satisfy the next owner of this vehicles wellbeing.
