I started out over 8 years ago with a dream of having a 1953 Plymouth Suburban street rod. I found this car from a farm in Kansas(all original and nearly rust free). I told the builder that I would not be in a hurry in exchange for a really good price. After 7 years I became very uneasy about how long the car was sitting on the rack in the shop. I decided to look for another Suburban while waiting. I found a 1954 Plymouth Plaza(basic version). The car was very ugly and rusty. This is where the story becomes extremely important to anyone wanting a 1953 Plymouth Suburban Savoy street rod(Has a lot of extras. higher end version). Because of the 7 year delay for my dream car. I decided to hunt for a new hot rod builder for the 1954 Plaza. At first the goal was to make the 54 into a Rat Rod. I only wanted a builder to fabricate new floors and remove and repair the rust. I responded to an ad with this in mind. I found a phenomenal builder who understood my frustration. He discussed how the car could be salvaged. I saw some of his work. He is extremely talented. As I come to the end of a year. my dream of a Plymouth Suburban is nearly realized. By the end of August I will be cruising and hearing the 5. 7 L Hemi purr. This is where you come in. I have decided to let my 1953 go. It is ready for your personal preferences. It does not have an engine or transmission. If you would like help to realize your dream. I can introduce you to the builder I use. I have included a few pictures of the 54 build so you can see what is possible. The professionally installed IFS on the 53 was installed by the first builder. This is a complete car. without transmission and engine. It is not a driving car. I have accumulated many awesome stainless replacements for the bunged up pieces. One bumper was refinished before the chrome company closed. I have powder coated original wheels with brand new tires. I have beautiful original hubcaps if you would like to create a sleeper. The steering wheel is beautiful. If you would like more photos. just request. I have a Ford rear end to upgrade from the original. I have over $10. 00 invested. I am asking $9000 OBO.

I have a 1953 Savoy Suburban. I would like to sell it but it's really rough. I'm in the middle of cleaning it out since sitting at my family's homestead in Colorado since around 1965. It never did run, Dad used it mainly for storage. A mouse haven for certain.
SUPER disappointed when I finally cleaned out the floor in front of the seat. I should have known something was up when I found asphalt shingles over the floor - I found a hole was cut in the floor and I have no idea what the previous people had in mind. A rat rod possibly they also cut out the rear fender wells probably for taller tires. I have lots of pictures.
Not certain anyone will read this since I'm looking at a post from 22 june 2014.
