1949 MG TC Base 1.3L for sale
Current customer rating:
For sale is a 1949 MG TC. Model “exu”
The “exu” model was uniquely built for the American market.
Only 963 examples were built.
This TC is an original car.
Un-restored and un-molested.
It is in remarkably fine condition.
After 65 years of life it has the normal assortment of dings and small chips but. overall. it is in excellent condition.
The patina adds to its appeal.
While someone may want to restore this car. I believe it should be left as is. driven and enjoyed.
The car has a remarkable history.
I am the second owner.
It was purchased by a friend of mine in 1949 and he drove it for 63 years.
He is now 89 years old.
I purchased it from him two years ago as I have owned and restored many collectible cars over the years.
When I acquired the car it needed several mechanical repairs.
Here is a short list of the things I have done:
Entire front suspension
rebuilt.
Top end of engine rebuilt
including valve job. rebuilt carb and seals.
All brakes rebuilt with
new cylinders and hoses.
All five wheels rebuilt
and powder coated.
Five new tires.
Instruments rebuilt.
Gas tank rebuilt and
re-sealed.
Everything works on this car.
It drives like new.
I have $24. 00 invested in the car.
While it is worth more than that price. I only wish to come out even on the deal and that is why the starting bid is $24. 00.
There is NO RESERVE.
Good luck bidding and contact me if you need additional information.
I can be reached at
