After 9 years of dedicated and loving ownership. we have decided to sell our beloved Messerschmitt.

We purchased this back in 2005 from a fellow that got it from the Bruce Weiner collection.

Upon purchase I replaced the following: installed new clutch. tires. front shocks. sealed battery. shift linkage bushings. put on a K&N air filter (not original to car). I removed the gas tank and had it boiled and sealed. Interior and exterior nice. Other than tiny bubbles beginning to appear in paint on one side of car. NO rust underneath or anywhere else that I can see. This teeny beauty was very obviously cherished by it's former owner(s) and most certainly by my wife and I. I have always stored it under cover in my garage.

Alas. we bought a 1994 Miata last summer. and my wife and I are constantly in this car. Thus "Schmitty" has seen little use the past two summers and we have only a one-car garage. Over the years. I have driven this car often and it is a real hoot to drive! All electrical items (headlights. taillights. horn) work. The left turn signal works. but the right one works when I step on the brakes! I did a minor re-wire several years ago and I obviously connected a wire to the wrong place. Just one of those things I never got around to correcting.

I drove this 35 miles round-trip last month to a local car show. It was a REAL HIT!!! So funny to see this car next to an elegant 1950's Rolls. a 1956 Porsche. a 1958 Alpha. and other exotics. Guess which car got the mist questions. yep. the 'Schmitt. SO FUN!!! Also. for the past 8 years I have driven this in the homecoming parade at the school where I work.

My students go ape over the car! Successful bidder pays $500. 00 deposit with paypal. The remainder is to be paid with certified check (must clear before delivery of car). or cash.

Reserve placed to protect my cost.

This truly is an AMAZING vehicle that you will enjoy owning and showing.

Check my over 1. 00 100% positive feedbacks and bid in confidence. Thanks very much.

Hello,
I saw you article, and am quite interested by your car.
Your price is 13500 US dollar, that means about 8000£, is that correct?
if you live in the UK, when would it be possible to see it?
