1946 RILEY RMA 1 1/2 - Amazing Classic

ZD9577 is the registration for this 1946 1 ½ Litre Riley RMA.   This car was born in Ireland and was one of the last to be built there.   Unfortunately the car was left to fall apart until purchased in 1994 where it was then given the chance to come to life once more.   The restoration project took 5 years with a great deal spent on it. including a lot of blood sweat and tears

The exterior was fully rebuilt as was the interior and engine. whilst using most of the original pieces.

This was all hand built and not sent off to a professional garage. like so many others. so every detail has been crafted and cared for as like when it was on the production line 68 years ago.

As you can see from the pictures. the car is now back to its formal glory. looking like it should.   With the colour code of Black over Ivory. it's a stunning eye catcher.

The interior has been completely restored with Cream leather that just adds to the beauty of the car

Since the rebirth. the car has been loved and cared for and has appeared at many Classic Car rallies. and also picked up 1st in 2004

The car has also featured on the cover of the Riley Owners club magazine (2009)

Another way in which the car been used is as in weddings. with the car being requested by many a new couple to be their bridal carriage.

With its easy access and spacious interior. it gives the best of both worlds. a classic look. yet a practical car for the special day.

The car has been a real joy to restore and own for the past 20 years. with its low maintenance and reliable mechanics. making it a really great classic car to own.

There is a small amount of bubbling on the wing (see pic). but this is not obvious and easily repaired.

This makes for an ideal first classic for someone starting. or a fantastic weekend car for those looking for a finished project
