Hi classic car lovers. br>My name is Andrew Sharp and i own a small company called Sharp Customs. based in mansfield nottinghamshire.
We are expanding rapidly and are in need of anyone who has restoration experience in the fields of panel beating and metal fab. filling and body shaping. spray painting. valeting. and mechanical. We need people who can work in any of those fields to a VERY high standard. our customers expect the best and we have to deliver. The reason we are advertising on ebay is because we want an enthusiast and as an enthusiast myself. i spend many hours on ebay searching mainly for classic cars i don't have the money or time to buy or restore. If you're passionate about classics. you will see this ad! (and don't even get me started on advertising for staff through the job centre. what a waste of time!).  This work is very difficult and i believe you have to have a genuine passion for old cars to be able to do it well.
Now i know i'm going to get a million messages asking for an apprenticeship and while we will be looking for an apprentice after our last one has finished his placement. its not what we are looking for right now. So by all means send me your cv but don't expect a reply for a few months. What we are looking for are skilled staff that we can give a job to and trust them to complete it in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
The position we have most readily available is that of a panel beater/fabricator. We deal with lots of rust and the cars we work on 99% of the time we can't get panels for so you need to be able to cut out rot. form new panels or sections of panel from sheet metal and weld it in place.
Wages are negotiable and will depend on the result of a 3 month trial. come on in. show us what you've got and if you impress and fit into the team i promise you a job for life on good money.
