It's hard to find the Freightliner/Mercedes Benz Military Edition Unimogs. Up for auction:
1987 Unimog FLU 419
Only 200 miles on the odometer. The paint on the unit is in great shape for the year. Has window sticker showing where Uncle Sam purchased it for $110. 00. 00.
Below is a list of parts needed to get it running again that was provided to me by the previous owner: Driver door Passenger door Hood bonnet Radiator Air tank 2 seat cushions * Motor cover Windshield (cracked) Driver mirror glass Misc. fuses * Has original Unimog seats. but need new seat cushions. The blue. high-back seats shown in photos are not part of the Unimog and are not included in the sale.
I purchased a new alternator that will go with the sale. Also comes with an extra set of wheels and tires.
When turning over by hand. the Mercedes diesel appears to have good compression. has clean moisture free oil and spins freely.
This will make someone a beast of an Offroader/Rock Crawler.
It still has everything needed to add a loader and backhoe attachment and you will have a heavy-duty tractor. I just have too many projects on my plate at the moment.
Regretfully. someone else will have the opportunity to own it now. The Buy It Now price is a very fair price for a Mog of this year. but if you are the lucky high bidder. Congratulations!
