1970 Triumph TR6 - Beautiful classic with lots of work done! for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a beautiful early model TR 6. There has been a lot of work and $ spent to make this a fun and reliable driver. It is one of the most fun TRs I have driven. The new red paint draws lots of attention and thumbs up wherever we go. I was going to have the body colored bumpers rechromed to be more original but I actually like the look that matches the body. This is a very solid car. I checked underneath and could not find any rust. The 72 spoke wire wheels are newer and in excellant condition. The interior is in good overall condition. It recently had a new wood dash installed and new top dash pad. I just use the tonneau cover but comes with the soft top frame. I also have an original boot cover with it also.
I have a very thick folder of receipts of work that has been done including the following: New starterinstalled new wiring harness with new grommets Removed instruments and old dashboard and installed new one Cleaned and repainted instrument bezels Installed and rewired new horns and new horn push fittings Installed a new radiator cowl at front of vehicle Installed some new dash switches Installed new glove box lock Put in new brake light switch New bulb fittings and ground wiring for rear lightsnew bulbs where needed. cleaned and reground rear license plate lights Installed new turn signal switch Put correct fuses in fuse box New vacumn lines and fittings Fitted plastic behind door panels (to protect cardboard from moisture inside the doors. Replaced broken door parts Installed new fuel sending unit. Installed new alternator Installed new fan belt and alternator bracket. Replaced all brake parts including hoses and caliper assemblies. Replaced Master clutch cylinder
Needs: I accidentally broke the passenger side window but have a brand new one in box. Also some of the rear lights stopped working after I was cleaning the trunk area. Can't be major as wiring was redone but I don't have time or skills to check it out.
All gauges work. Has a radio but needs antenna installed. If you look at the Haggerty Insurance website they have up to date values of cars. I consider this car to be a strong #3 which is currently valued between $14. 00. to $21. 00. per below. My reserve is much less than half that so could be a very good deal for winning bidder.
