Current customer rating:
Triumph Stag H Reg 1970 LD 79. (The 79 th Stag built)
Triumph V 8 with automatic transmission. Finished in rare royal blue with saddle tan interior. This car was subject to a restoration a few years ago and still looks fantastic. It has had a fully reconditioned engine fitted 500 miles ago which the engine rebuild was carried out by Howard Vasey and a super gill radiator supplied by Tony Hart.
The underneath looks good painted in royal blue. The interior was originally black I changed it to saddle tan (I have the original front and rear seats in fine grain black if required - only fitted to the first 100 or so cars). Complimented by a new carpet and newly refurbished dash wood set and refurbished dials. The engine bay is nice and clean with a new bonnet insulation pad fitted with chrome brackets. The air box has been refurbished and painted. This Stag is totally reliable and being on a H suffix very very rare.
This car. prior to my ownership. had been stored in the garages of Andrew Thorogood Restorations since the mid 80's. where a meticulous and extensive restoration was carried out. The body has been bare metal restored throughout including the underneath and all 4 wheel arches. The underneath has been stone chipped and overpainted in royal blue. The original owner had emigrated to America and I bought it from him. The car needed finishing off which I carried out to my specification.
I cannot stress how rare this car is being on a H reg.
