1958 Morris Minor 1000
Auto restoration shop offers this daily driver 58 Morris. I've turned this car into a reliable driver. had my fun with it. time to move on. This is a good honest rot free driver quality car. I've taken it to 3 car shows in the NW this year. The response is incredible. More thumbs up and questions than some of my six figure muscle cars and even my 2014 Sting Ray. This car is a hoot to drive and talk about. This car was built for the US market. hence the steering wheel on the “correct” side. I have paperwork from 1966 as it sold in Tacoma WA. The car has been in the dry desert region of eastern WA most of it's life. I just returned from a 220 mile round trip on eastern WA highways with no problems. Car cruises at 62 mph. can go faster but seems to be happy at that speed. Believed to have 62. xx original miles.

MECHANICAL
The 4 cylinder 37 horse power 948CC motor runs like a top. Always starts immediately cold or hot. We added an electric fuel pump for reliability. The original non-syncronized 4 speed transmission shift well. I replaced the original clutch last month and re-surfaced the flywheel. I redid the master cylinder and brakes last month as well. Stops and shifts very well for what it is. The choke. wipers. starter. lights. turn signals. speedometer and odometer work well. Exhaust is good. We serviced the entire vehicle last month.
BODY
The body is in excellent condition. I could not find any rot rust. just very minor spots of surface rust. The car was re-painted 15 years ago. The rubbers are original and show some weathering. there is a chip in the windshield. Most of the interior is original and in decent condition. The doors. hood. trunk all open and shut nicely. I have original paperwork with a stack of repair manuals included with the car.
This car is what I call driver quality. It is not a mint restored car. I personally would not restore this car. enjoy it as is. It looks presentable as it sits. This car has huge fun factor for cheap.
I welcome 3rd party inspections during the auction. Skip Auto Appraisals & Pre-Buy Inspections. I own that business. You are welcome to test drive the car during the auction. Non-refundable deposit of $1000. 00 due via Paypal immediately after auction conclusion. the rest within 5 days. I have a shipping broker who has shipped dozens of vehicles for me in the lower 48. I will pass on his info or work with your shipper. I have a permanent collector license plate for WA only. no reg fees ever in WA. Title in hand. in my name. clear. I use the Hagerty Insurance site for values on “odd ball” cars. they say the average price on this car is $10. 00. with a high of $19. 00 for a restored version.
