VW 1966 custom Beetle pink magenta rare ex show/drag car not split bay t4 t5

Here we have my lovely 1966 Vw beetle "lady" - painted in original Porsche magenta. she really is a looker! Fully custom ex drag/show car. She was a magazine feature of flat 4 magazine back in 1998 for which I have a copy of. Also included are a huge folder of receipts and 2 books of photos of her original restoration in the 90 s from start to finish. She had her wings converted 1 inch and half wider to accommodate wide wheels. She has a full adjustable beam as you would expect. Her fuel tank is on hinges and lifts up out of the way so that this can be adjusted without laying on the ground to do it. Her rear apron can be removed with a twist of four locks which makes removing the exhaust and engine a doddle. Completely custom interior too although seats are a little tired somewhat now. they still have amazing character and look very sporty. Speedo has been relocated to the centre of the dash and a beautiful original steering wheel -lovingly revamped in this hot magenta does remind you that you are indeed driving something truly special. She has been degutterd and dehinged and with full width windows - even the tops of her doors have been rounded to continue this smooth look! She has brand new 17" deep dish chrome rims with brand new tyres literaly have done 30 miles in them. Kept under cover through winter. New "t" bars as i believe the bumpers didn't really suit her with such wide wings. She's recently had another restoration and respray although is unfinished in regards to minor polishing/mopping.

If you are looking for a car that when you are driving. you don't get waved at or talked to while you're filling up for fuel. then this car is really not for you. She really attracts attention wherever she goes. included is new locks. new chrome handbrake. and if you want it i have a pink sterio and speakers i can chuck in for an extra small negotiable price

The organisers for bug jam also want her in the "back to 89" section of the festival - paying homage to the legends of past feature cars and Lady is invited to the show. free of charge with two guests.

She now has a 1300 engine rather than the 2 litre Porsche lump she did have as a showcase. Would be amazing to see her go back to her drag routes and hit the strip once more! Hopefully a loving new owner could give her this chance :)
