For sale is my much loved Rover P6 3500 that I have painstakingly made very reliable with all the sensible upgrades these great cars need.   It also has many desirable factory options including power steering. boot mounted spare wheel kit. and ‘ET' headrests (these alone go for about £200!).   The car has had thousands spent on it in the last couple of years but unfortunately I have to sell due to a lack of space at my new home.  

The car sailed through its last MOT with no advisories and is taxed until December although will be tax exempt in two years time (https://www. gov. uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/293910/TIIN_2507_8011_40_year_rolling_exemption_for_classic_vehicles_. pdf).

Mechanically the engine was rebuilt at 67500 miles (including new camshaft. timing chain and lifters and head gasket) and the automatic gearbox works perfectly with the kickdown operating correctly (great fun!).   The car is extremely enjoyable to drive with everything working as it should.   Recent work includes:

·         Rebuilt carburettors·         New tyres·         Reconditioned brake servo·         Electronic ignition with new coil and better quality HT leads·         Electric fuel pump with filter king pressure regulator and safety inertia cut-off switch (reconditioned mechanical pump still fitted but the electric one ensures that the car doesn't suffer from fuel vaporisation – such a big problem on the P6 V8s)·         Auxiliary electric fan·         New water pump. hoses and thermostat·         New heater motor (very involved job to replace)·         Modern fusebox (the old ones are poorly designed and frequently melt)·         Halogen lights·         New battery·         CD player with aux input and new speakers·         New gearbox mountings. mounting to front of diff. and shock absorber bushes·         New gearbox filter

The paintwork. body and chrome are very presentable and produce a great shine as can be seen from the photographs.   However the car is almost 40 years old and this is noticeable on close inspection.   The car is structurally solid and the leather interior is. again. very presentable.

The car also has history back to 1990 including the rover passport.
