A left hand drive Daimler SP 250 for sale which was imported from the USA in May last year.

This particular car is an 'A' Spec which was manufactured on the 18 th January 1960.

As you can see from the photographs the car will require a full restoration. having not been used since the 1980's.

The car is mostly complete with the original engine. gearbox (no overdrive) and rear axle. All the bright work is present and correct. it should re-chrome very well.

The car does not run but despite the appearance of the engine bay the motor does turn over by hand (very smoothly in fact). The hood frame. front grill and windscreen frame are amongst the hardest items to find for a Dart. you'll be pleased to know these are all correct and present on this example.

The car is not UK registered but all Import Duties have been paid (letter from HM Revenue and Customs confirms this). also included is the USA Certificate of Title. original Daimler Handbook and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming its production record.

The car may well have had a very interesting former owner who used to compete in SP 250's (although this was his private vehicle and not his track car). however I have no documentary evidence to support this as the information is via one of the previous owners.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required on completion of the auction with the remaining sum being settled before removal of the vehicle.

The vehicle is being advertised elsewhere and so I reserve the right to either end the auction early. or withdraw it altogether.
