The Morris Minor was face-lifted in 1962 and fitted with the 1098 “A” series engine from the Austin-Morris 1100 which gave an increase in top speed and mid range torque and various improvements to the interior. The Minor saloon stayed in production until 1971 when it was officially replaced by the Marina.
This car is a 1966 Morris Minor in Trafalgar Blue. It has had just three owners from new. the first from 1966 until 2010 when it was retailed by Minor specialist Charles Ware. It is in beautiful order. having had just one light restoration the underside is particularly good with an absence of ugly patches and plates as so many of these cars have. Very recently this car has been fitted with a completely re-built. unleaded engine by one of the Minor specialists (over £1000. 00)
It is fitted with various extras including a full length Webasto folding roof. front and rear inertia belts. extra gauges. chrome door mirrors and headlight peaks. The folding roof is a great compromise if you don't want the expense of buying a tourer. Runs and drives perfectly. MOT'd until December 2014 and of course free to tax. Viewing near Woburn. Beds.
