1968 MK 1 MINI 1380 RACE ENGINE . N BLUE . FULL SPEC AS FOLLOWS

We have not started this car yet . but hope to shortly . we do know it runs and drives very well

This little mini must of had a small fortune spent on it . and all done very well i must say

It was originally built in the late 80's as a track day car and was MSA registered. In the late 90's it was rebuilt and set up more as a road legal sprint / hillclimb car.

The spec is/was as follows :
Engine is a Jonspeed 1380 with modifications. It has Omega pistons. big valve head. 1. 5:1 roller rockers. lightened and balanced flywheel. balanced crank. straight cut gearbox etc etc. Was running 120-125 bhp and has only done about 20 miles since being built

Suspension - Front Hi-Lo's. Rear Beam axle. ear coilovers. rose jointed front tie bars.
Brakes - 9. 5" Front Discs. Cooper S Calipers. rear minfin drums. brake bias adjuster. aeroquip hoses. internally run brake pipe.
Body - the eagle eyed of you will have noticed it is a MK 1 shell. I believe the whole car was rebuilt onto a internally welded deseamed MK 1 shell in the late 80's. It is registered and was MOT'd as an F reg 1968 mini.

The Front end is Fibreglass and so is the boot. It has Polycarb windows to all side windows. Doors have been lightened. It has a full bolted roll cage.

Wheels & Tyres - It is currently on 7 x 13 Weller steel wheels with Yokohama tyres (x 5) and there is also a set of 4 alloys with part used scrubbed slick tyres
Internal - usual guages. shift warning light. safety cut -off switches. timing adjuster. 2 x Corbeau race seats and harnesses .

Foam filled fuel tank.

Other - It's never had any keys. To start it there are two red race keys - one external. one on the dash and then a push button start. If you wanted to drive it around and park it on the street you could easily change the door locks and replace the push button start with a keyed start.
