The vendor states that this car was first registered in Aberdeen in 1937. to a Major Charles Alastair Bethuns Malden. and used by his wife during the war. It was purchased by a John Mc Donald on 28/05/1981. and sold by his wife in 1987 to a Bruce Emslie. Mr Emslie started the restoration of the car in 1988 and finished it in 1993. The car was sold to Smallbone and Son. a dealer of vintage and classic cars in about 1997. The next owner was a Neil Birkinshaw of Crawley who had an engine re-build in 1998 at a cost of £7. 26. 80. and also a new clutch was fitted in 2005. The car has had little use since then and is in very good condition. The vendor has just re-newed the brake linings and put new seals in the wheel cylinders. put on new king pins and bushes and re-built the drop arm ball joint. The tyres are all fairly new Dunlop RS 5's.
