Solid 1974 1600 cc Aircooled camper. ready to go for the summer!
This bus was imported from South Africa so is amazingly solid underneath. it hasn't been subjected to damp conditions or salted roads. It has been dry stored since import.
The Bus is right hand drive. with a nice clean interior & wood floor. The back is a blank canvass ready to be converted to your spec or to use as it is. We have a timber box frame bed that we have used in the back - we will include this in the sale so the camper is literally ready for the beach.
We have installed a 1600 twin port engine with a genuine 15000 miles on the clock. (We have the paperwork to confirm this). It has also had a full front suspension re-build & the bus has 4 new tyres.
Last week we fitted brand new front brake callipers on both sides & installed a brand new clutch. Timing is spot on & valve clearances just done.
In other words all the hard stuff is already done - the bus is ready to roll. as is. The only work left to do to make this bus perfect is some basic sanding & painting to the body & to underseal the underside of the bus (which is an easy but messy job but only about £100 at a garage).
The MOT is valid until October 2014.
