Selling due to another time waster.
Selling my 1973 Mk3 GT6 in Mimosa yellow (more mustard than yellow) is a great period colour. which really sets off the lines of a GT6. the paint work is good. has been repainted at some point and if I was to keep it. I would look to repaint it or repaint localised areas.  The photos don't really show the areas: There are some very minor surface bubbles on the front of the roof seam. a blister on the rear panel (just below rear number plate) and a couple of small areas that are inconsequential but would need looking at. at some point.
However. as you can see from the photos the overall condition is nice.
The previous owner mentioned that the car gets lots of compliments when out and about. which I well believe as it is a smart looking GT6.
The interior is in really nice condition. the seats/carpets and headlining are great and look to have been replaced at some point. the dash is a dark walnut veneer and looks lovely.
It is MoTed till the end of July 2017 and has just been serviced. The speedo has been replaced at some point. would imagine when restored. current mileage is 19. 00
Fitted with K&N filters. tubular manifold and GT twin exit system. the car sounds glorious. starts first time. no smoke. no rattles. no issues. gearbox and clutch are perfect. the overdrive kicks in and out. without a fuss.  The water temperature hovers just under halfway on the temperature gauge. ably assisted by the Kenlowe fan and shroud. which automatically switches on at a pre-set temperature.
Work completed on the car over the past 1500-2000 miles:
New alternator BatteryFront brake calipers rebuiltGearbox full rebuild and clutch replacement
Carbs overhauled
New electronic ignition system
New heater matrix and hoses
Both front and rear bumpers re-chromed Selling with a realistic reserve. a great GT6 that has had a ton of money sensibly spent to upgrade it to a classic car you could feasibly use everyday.
In summary a really handsome little coupe that could be used as is or improved upon. should you wish to.
Should you wish to arrange to view. contact me through E-bay ask buyer a question or e-mail hertsstorage@gmail. com
