For sale is my 1954 Riley RME 1. 5 litre which I have enjoyed driving for a few years now. sadly I need to sell her as I no longer have space to keep her garaged. The car drives well having had the engine rebuilt 4 years ago and because I enjoy driving rather than showing I have had the fuel pump changed for a a modern electronic "pusher". electronic ignition. new battery. new rear springs and stainless steel exhaust system. I have been collecting together various items ready for improving the interior including walnut door trims. ash board. chrome door trims. polished rocker covers etc and these will be offered to the purchaser. The car drives well with no unusual noises and keeps up with modern traffic although full use of the gearbox is required on steep hills. Externally the body work is in generally good condition for a 60 year old car and there are some minor imperfections. The roof covering has been replaced at some time and has no tears or marks. There is some wear on the drivers seat and the seat is "soft" however I have managed to source some original biscuit coloured leather ready for repairs and this will be included with the car as will be the headlining.
The car is offered at a realistic price considering its condition however  near offers will be accepted.
This car is ready to drive home and will not require trailering.
As you will know these cars are tax exempt and do not require an MOT (the car has however been inspected by my local classic car garage and no faults found).
The car is available for inspection/drive in South Oxfordshire at any time (please call to arrange).
To safeguard me against the inevitable tyre kickers a non-returnable deposit of £500 will be required within 24 hours of sale with the balance in cash on collection.
(please note that the pictures do show some personal items that will be removed prior to sale e. g. badge bar and mascot)
