This is an original 1965 RHD UK Registered Beetle. 1965 1 year only

I bought this a year ago for my 17 year old son to use as a daily driver because of the cheaper classic car insurance. he has now got a sensible insurance quote so sadly this much loved beetle is for sale.

We also had a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm fitted to reduce the insurance.

The car has had a restoration featured in March 2011 Volks World. we have a copy of the Mag and it can also be viewed at;-

It has a 1641 cc engine with an alternator conversion fitted in October to see the car through the winter. we still have the dynamo.

We have maintained the car and recently replaced the brake shoes. clutch cable and a new door handle.

We have a huge amount of history and lots of bills and receipts and some old tax discs and photo's of the car.

The wheels have been powder coated. it has also been lowered slightly.

The car needs a little interior work and really needs the headlining and door cards replacing. the seats are original with a couple of tears in them but they look great and in keeping with the car.

I have a new set of Oatmeal carpets from Newton Commercials but never fitted them

The car is 49 years old and not mint but is a very presentable car and it grows crowds and favourable comments whenever you park it. we live in York and the tourists love it !

I recommend that you come and see the car but I'm sure I have described it fairly (I have nearly 500 positive feedback)

If you want a very good usable classic then this is a great car for you and we will sadly miss it.
