1973 VW SPLITSCREEN 15 WINDOW BRAZILIAN IMPORT for sale

15 window 73 Brazilian import. Arrived on these shores 2011.
This van is a project. and is currently not running. I bought the van Sept 2012 thinking she was a fairly easy fix. Unfortunately she has been the victim of some fairly appalling workmanship in the past and I have no time or skill to sort. She is currently SORN'd.
Bad Bits The main area is the chassis that needs welding. as I've tried to show in the pics. Pretty poor welding done in past.
The rest is what a normal camper would require headlining. various parts. etc.
Good bits little to no surface rust on the shell. Most of the panels are fine. doors rust free.
Engine complete and was running before storage. Ditto gearbox
Historic tax
Rear interior is fairly sound. Seals and sills all seem ok
She does have an MOT until August 13. She passed the last one with the following advisory's Offside rear wheel bearing slight play front flexy brake hoses very close to suspension uprights steering slightly stiff in straight ahead position found on lock to lock check wipers self park towards centre of windscreens both front doors require some adjustment to latches
I have the documents from import (including previous MOT's).
All in all. a decent project for someone with time. space and welding expertise. or access to them. I have priced the van realistically and I have been as honest as possible. She is listed as for spares or repair. I'll answer any questions as well as I can. If you want to inspect the van she is located in the WA 9 area of St Helens.

Winning bidder must pay £250 deposit within 2 days of winning the auction. and the van must be collected within 2 weeks of auction end. Balance to be paid in cash on collection. or via BACS beforehand.
Please be advised you will need to trailer the van. not tow it. Anybody with poor (less than 80%) or less than 10 feedback must message me before bid otherwise it will be rejected. The van is sold as seen. You are bidding to buy not just to turn up and tyre kick. or argue the toss.
