classic mini mk1 for sale
Current customer rating: (613 votes ) based on1962 Mk1 Austin Seven Deluxe 850 (1046) not `Cooper`. the badges were on when I bought it. I took them off a couple of weeks later because I was more interested in owning the rarer `Seven`.
First Registration 04/05/1962. Original Brown Logbook.
All modifications completed in the late `60s or very early `70s.
Engine.
Original 850 engine long since gone. replaced with a 998 Cooper Engine and remote Cooper S gearbox (non `magic wand` type). Engine bored out to 1046 (10. 1 Comp ratio) +60 Powermax pistons. tuftride crank. center strap. mega light flywheel. nbsp;full engine balance. Piper Megatune 2 cam. dry decked head. nbsp;Twin 1-1/4 SU`s. electronic ignition. Cooper S front disc setup with servo. Recent work carried out includes. Maniflow exhaust (not the headers/downpipes. they're custom stainless) Flywheel starter ring gear. new clutch. bearings and bushes. clutch master and slave cylinders. new Alternator.
Interior.
As original apart from. Autoplas Dashboard. Cooper 120+mph speedo. couple of rare smiths `GP` gauges. auxiliary switch gear on dashboard and in drivers side door pocket. Central locking (disconnected. I never bothered to get it running). Intermittent and timer adjustable wash wipe. Astrali steering wheel. Floor start and floor headlight high/low beam. Recaro drivers seat. Heater will melt you :)
Exterior.
Moulded in wheel arches. rear wash wipe. non standard Mk2 boot lid and lights (I have the retro rear light steel panels to go back in. but not the lights). Halogen headlight conversion. Non standard door furniture (but I have new repro items to fit). Mk2 style rear quarter windows. nbsp;Brand new sticky Yokohama tyres. Brand new rear wheel cylinders. Tartan red with Black roof. One rust bubble spot on each door. the front lower corners about an inch or two back and up (I will take piccys and post up).
Condition.
Very good all round condition. everything works as it should and paintwork (re sprayed at some point) still looks stunning. The oil cooler on the front I have disconnected because I didn't believe it was adding anything to the engine configuration (if anything. running to cool). but I have left it there purely to fill the gap on the grille.
All in all a very nice piece of mini history with period modifications done in the `60s/`70s. Some of the mods that were done (Rear Lights. boot. Rear side windows) were done at a time when a Mk1 was just. `so last year` :) `Hindsight` and all that :)
Your perfectly welcome to come and have a look and a listen to satisfy yourself of its condition.
£200 pounds to paid direct into my paypal account at end of auction and remainder to be settled in cash.
Any question please feel free to ask.
