1936 Austin 7 Opal - 2 Seater - Open Tourer

Extremely rare car with original registration number and in original untouched condition

If ever anything can be described as a true "Barn Find" then this is it

Presented here for sale exactly as it was found

This fantastic little car is almost totally complete in every way

It carries the original registration number on original plates

TS 9855

Vehicle registration document present and checks out with DVLA

The vehicle is complete with both side screens - radiator muff - spare wheel and starting handle

This very rare Opal Car (Chassis Number A PE 288094) was bought by its previous owner and used to run about the farm when he fancied a change it was driven into a barn - water drained out and just left there - that was 40 years ago - since then this charming little car has been in the dark until now - it makes me smile every time I look at it

I am told there are less than 100 of this model left but you would need to confirm this yourself

I have not cleaned it - it is covered in dust - dirt - cobwebs - just as found

The engine turns over freely with the starting handle

What a little gem and a seriously appreciating asset

Now the practical bits

Solid chassis and floor - body in remarkable condition - the running boards need some attention - front and rear wings and front scope excellent - main body panels - skuttle and bonnet sound and straight - the hood is tatty but original - the hood frame needs attention - front windscreen and adjusters - wiper motor all ok - headlights sound - side lights almost all there

At sometime in the dim and distant past the trafficator arms have been removed and are not present

Interior - both original matching seats are present and in good condition - just need cleaning

Door cards with pouches are present and tidy - do not think the rubber carpets are original

Dashboard clocks all there 

Under the Bonnet all present and correct - no battery 

Under The Car - all appears sound - original and present 

As you would expect the tyres do not hold air
