Interesting car the1939 Packard Super 8 model 1703. not too many of them around.   This particular 1939 Super 8 has been in storage for years with odometer showing 22. 50 which most likely is a 122. 50 by looking at the clutch and brake pedals.   Presently not running but the 320 CID engine turns over by hand and should run with some tinkering.   The engine is complete and does come with the fan. pulley. and water pump though not presently on the engine.   The transmission is a three speed with column mounted shifter.   Appears to be very complete with the exception of the rear mounted cigarette lighter which is missing.  There are four chrome moldings two on each side of the hood (upper and lower) which are not presently on the car but. are included in the sale.   The upholstery is in really decent shape for being 75 years old and has the really neat rear seat center armrest.  This Packard will need a complete restoration but. would make an excellent candidate for one as it's very solid.   Running boards. rockers and floors are all solid.   The floor of the trunk has some holes on the right side which can be seen in the photos. The car has the normal dents and dings with surface rust here and there as expected on a car of this vintage.  Some work had been started on the outside of the car but never finished.   Everything else on the car is original.   It has the cormorant hood ornament. radio. clock. front fender marker lights. Also sporting  an excellent set of Trippe safety lights.  All tires hold air and rolls easily.   There is no title. sold with bill of sale only.   At the close of this auction I require the winning bidder to send a $500 PayPal deposit within 24 hours with full payment within 7 days.   Payment can be cash. certified bank check (check must clear before release of car). or bank wire transfer.  Car must be picked up within a reasonable length of time. preferably within two weeks.   If additional time is needed please contact me.
