Once regarded as the first affordable car in the UK that would start in the morning. every morning without fail. the Datsun 120 Y can be considered the pioneer of modern reliable. and affordable transport. This particular example has very recently been lovingly restored over the last year. and its evident that attention to detail. alongside originality has been paramount to its new lease of life. Having covered ONLY 66. 00 miles. and supplied with a current MOT with no advisories!! A genuine ONE PREVIOUS OWNER car. showing that the previous owner took delivery of this Datsun on the 17 th of June 1978. and finally parted with it due to his age and the ability to drive on the 20 th of August 2011. Finished in Turquoise with black interior. Outside has obviously received a fully. stripped out respray. which as the pictures suggest is of excellent quality. and has retained all of its original badges. panels and trim. including the original wheel trims. Inside. is as original as the day it left Japan. the black velour seats are still supportive. and show little if any signs of use. The original MW radio which is working. all carpet is fresh and clean. as are the interior plastics. To summerise. this is a very usable. and easy to own. run and maintain classic. which due to its iconic status. sure will be a sound investment kept in the condition its in today.
