Original, unmolested 1979 Honda Accord CVCC for sale
Current customer rating: (649 votes ) based onI have all paperwork since 1979. documenting the mileage. Two ignition keys. one original "Honda" key. one copy. Also have the keys required to lift and clean the custom fit louver shade. At one point years ago. there was a little fender-bender. and the hood. driver's fender and door were redone. it's reflected in the paperwork. Other than that. the paint is original. has few dings here and there.
The seats are in great shape. save a burn mark and a little wear and tear on the driver's seat. Carpet in great shape. could use a cleaning. thanks to the slightly greasy (?) original rubber floor mats that have left some residue below them. Headliner. all glass great. doors shut perfectly. 1G Hondas are notorious for door latch issues. Does need a set of gas shocks for the hatch. it currently needs propping up. Lights. vent/defog system. electrical. gauges. radio all work. clock does not.
Mechanically. this starts and runs exactly how a carbureted '79 Accord did back in the day: A little rich. idles high when cold. Sometimes gets vapor-lock and will idle rough for a moment. but mostly runs great and gets great mileage. Has power brakes. not power steering or A/C (it's not equipped. ) It does drop a little oil on my carport floor. but I check all fluids weekly. it's never run low or dry. It's a great "around-town" car. errands. drive-ins. etc. Not the best for your daily commute on the interstate. I would recommend a long-distance buyer to have it shipped--the RPM's on the highway are very high.
Upon auction close. a $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal. The remainder to be paid via PayPal or wire transfer within 3 business days. Once the full funds have been confirmed. I will overnight the keys. title and paperwork at my cost to the winner if they are out of my region or state. Shipping is buyer's responsibility and cost. please research this before bidding or winning. my zip is 33711. I am happy to help make sure the car gets on the transport truck safely. Car is sold AS-IS. no warranty or guaranty implied or expressed. Please note: Car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
Do not hesitate to ask questions. email me anytime. night or day. Thanks for looking. and good luck!
