1956 VW Beetle 1200 oval deluxe for sale

1956 Volkswagen Beetle 1200 cc Oval Deluxe
Manufactured in 1956 and registered in march 57
This is a beautiful genuine example of a car which was only manufactured for several years.
The car is in polar silver with red upholstery and features extras such as a period roof rack and sun visor.
This particular car has been garaged & dry stored for much of its life.
Prior to my father taking ownership last year. extensive work was carried out and the car was restored.
The entire floor has been replaced and sealed and the cars had a complete re-spray. As a result the floor is extremely solid and paintwork very good.
Although the car has been dry stored for the last year. subtle signs are starting to show with a few small bubbles appearing in a handful of places. mainly around the left headlight . But considering its a 57 year old car overall its in a truly beautiful and exeptional condition.
It would be a very straight forward project and would not take a great deal of time to get the car to show condition.
A viewing of the car is strongly recommended.
The engine is the original and is as sweet as a nut. The suspension has been uprated at some point and lowered.
The interior is very good. however some stitching has separated on the drivers seat and a little on the passenger seat.
The radio is a working original.
The car has be maintained to a high standard and loads of old MOT's are present along with many receipts for parts throughout its life. A new 6 v battery has recently been fitted and an MOT inspection carried out. however it is exempt from a certificate due to its age.
This car has been featured in several French magazines and has been used as an example in Super VW magaine
The last valuation certificate from 1995 valued the car at £8500
These cars are few and far between now. especially in this condition.
It appears that most beetles are made up of different parts from different cars with different engines etc etc.
