VW Karmann Ghia Convertible
This car will be tax exempt as of 01/04/2014 !!!!!

LHD Californian Import. brought over to the UK in 2008.
Silver with a lovely recent black mohair roof. with the drop down glass rear window. The seats and dash top have been recovered in a beige leatherette material. and the dash has the wood effect.
The car has all the characteristics of a '71 ghia. with the smaller rear lights and classier instrument cluster.
This car has a 1641cc engine. and drives superbly. with nice tight steering and good braking.
The floor pans appear to be nice and solid. but there is a little bubbling on the rear quarters. and some around the N/S headlamp. The car is in need of a respray. and the little blemishes on the body could be rectified during that process. The alloys are tatty and I was going to buy some same size porsche fuch replicas and swap the tyres over. I have the replacement lower rear quarter sections and a full set of seals for the car that I'm prepared to sell to whoever buys the car. as I was going to have the work done over the winter. but I have just imported another convertible and a coupe from the states and I need the space.
The car is currently sorned while I wait for the free road tax. only 11 days to go!!! and is MOT'd till the end of May.
These cars are very rare and only come up for sale occasionally. and whilst this car is not perfect. it's not £20. 00 either!! ideal for someone who's passionate about Karmann Ghias and could bring this car back to a very high. for alot less than it would cost to buy one finished.
